1 The Encounter

September, 9th, Hanyon year (1573)

It was my wedding day with the noble Gregory Lawford, the whole kingdom was anxious because ever since my father's death, the king Charles Boorman, they were all expecting a new king, but I never agreed to spend my entire life stuck in a castle and with a man I don't even love, and that I know will have several other women... I was trying to find my way out without being noticed by the guards, I put on a black cape to hide my clothing and a hood so no one could recognize my face, I looked like those witches people burn on their fireplaces. I tore a little of that wedding dress because it was bothering my feet.

"Phew! I couldn't stand that long dress, this is way better, being the only daughter of a king that always wanted a son, it isn't easy. Mother always says that I shouldn't worry about it, and I don't, I don't want to be the queen of a kingdom, I want to explore the world and be free." — I was thinking and walking through the crowd when I realized the happiness in the people celebrating my engagement. Because I have never left the castle before i was mesmerized with the lighting, the food carts, people dressed up in costumes and I got distracted from my mission, I ate almost all of the foods and watched three street theaters. When I was about to eat another one of those stick candies I heard a little boy crying, I followed the noise until I found a boy, about 5 years old, sitting on the floor, crying really hard, before I asked him what happened, I gave him my candy to cheer him, after hesitating a little, he took it from my hand and ate it with such satisfaction, he even licked his finger after he was finished, I couldn't help but giggle a little to the boy's action, I sat by his side and asked him what happened:

— I...I'm looking for my mommy...

— Your mother?

— Y..e

— Y...yes, mommy told m...me to wait but i got distracted and disobeyed her. W...will you tell her?

— First let's find your mother, then you can apologise to her and I'm sure that she'll forgive you.

— Ok..

— Can you tell me what's your mother's name?

— Bean

— What a beautiful name, how is she like?

— She's a fairy! Mommy said I came to cheer up her world!

— Ok, but what kind of fairy is she?

— She's an earth fairy, her hair is brown, just like the earth!

— She must be beautiful!

— She is!!

— Let's go find your mom!

While we were looking for the boy's mother we ate a lot, had a little fun, told jokes and stories, we finally found the little boy's mother in a bridge calling for him and just then I realized that I hadn't asked his name, but now I know it's Nicky. Because I got distracted, i bumped with some guards, that recognized me, I forgot i was running away from the castle, or better running away from my wedding and leaving the noble Gregory Lawford at the aisle. I started running, but stopped when I bumped in a tall, redhead and muscular man, I got so distracted by his beauty until I realized that he was one of my mother soldiers. I've never seen him before, he must be new, but still, not time to get distracted, I started running but he reached me.
